Reading My Bible
Today read Matthew 28:1-15
It was awesome that the Lord Jesus came to earth. It was awesome that He bled and died for you and me, even though He had never done any wrong Himself. It is really amazing though what happened after He bled and died. Cruel men took the Lord Jesus and they beat Him and nailed Him to a wooden cross. After He was dead one of the believers got permission to take His body away to be buried. His body was placed into a tomb because that is how they buried people in that country. The Lord Jesus had promised that He would come back to life again so the government had placed soldiers to guard the tomb where He was buried. On the third day the Lord Jesus came alive again just as He promised! Several of the Lord Jesus’ friends saw Him and spoke to Him. I can just imagine how quickly the believers told each other the good news! The Lord Jesus told His friends to meet Him in Galilee. Make a picture of Jesus with His friends for your notebook. Talking To God
Dear God. Thank you for coming to earth and dying on the cross. Thank you for coming to life again. In Jesus’ Name, amen.
